Sao Paulo´s Governor authorizes R$ 2,8 Billion in funds for the construction of trains


Geraldo Alckmin the governor of the city of Sao Paulo has authorized the investment of R$2,8 Billion ( something around 6,8 Billion Dkk) for the construction of the new train line that will connect the capital of Sao Paulo to the international Airport of the city. Paralelly will be started the extension of an existing line, that will reach Varginha, city located in the southernmost region of the city of Sao Paulo.

The line that will connect the city to the airport was named Jade, and it will have 12 km of extension. The total investment will be of R$ 2,1 Billion, being R$1,6 Billion coming from the French Development Agency. The total time of the project is 18 months.
