The British tycoon Richard Branson will be landing in Brazil in the coming weeks to be a keynote speaker in a mega-event in São Paulo, Brazil.
The founder of the Virgin group is a confirmed presence among the speakers of the 2017 edition of VTEX Day, the largest multi-channel retail event in Latin America, to gather around 10,000 people in São Paulo on May 30 and 31.
At age 66, Branson is one of the hottest British entrepreneurs of recent times, with more than 400 companies in the curriculum – from legendary Virgin Records to a space tourism company. It is also famous for its sporting adventures, such as traversing the Atlantic Ocean by high speed boat and trying to go around the world in a balloon.
At the event, the billionaire will recount the “10 toughest decisions” he has ever had to take, focusing on how the world of retail and industry will change more in the next 4 years than has changed in the last 40 years.
In its fifth edition, VTEX Day will be a marathon with about 100 speakers, to be held at the end of May at the São Paulo Expo, inaugurated last year at the site of the former Imigrantes Exhibition Center. The French group GL Events invested R $ 410 million in the modernization of the complex located on Rodovia dos Imigrantes.
